The Regent Park Social Development Plan is a framework to manage change and promote community development in the Regent Park area, which is currently undergoing revitalization. The revitalization will see the transformation of the community from a predominantly low-income public housing project to a mixed income neighbourhood over the next decade .

The plan provides for participation of residents and other stakeholders in helping to define emerging social and community infrastructure needs and includes a mechanism for monitoring progress in achieving goals. The plan addresses employment concerns, space issues for community agencies, program/service needs as well as mechanisms for ongoing community engagement and participation. The Regent Park Social Development Plan was adopted by City Council in Spring 2007.

Questions about the City's policies and activities with regard to Regent Park revitalization should be directed to staff in Community Revitalization
