There are many off-leash areas in parks across the city. Visit the City of Toronto's website to find your closest off leash area. The map also shows:

  • Parks that allow commercial dog walkers
  • Parks with fenced-in off-leash areas
  • Parks with a small dog area for dogs weighing a maximum 20 lbs, and a maximum height of 12 inches at the shoulders.

In April 2025, Toronto City Council approved Toronto’s new Dog Off Leash Strategy.  This strategy provides direction to staff on maintaining, designing and enhancing the City’s network of off leash areas.  Learn more by visiting: Agenda Item History - 2025.IE20.9.
