If the planter is located on a City street in Etobicoke York, it is maintained by the local BIA
In other areas of the City planter boxes on City streets are maintained by both BIAs and Parks, Forestry & Recreation. Contact 311 and we will refer you to the park supervisor for the area. The park supervisor will be able to determine who is responsible for maintenance, including graffiti of the planter.
Planter boxes in City parks are maintained by Parks staff.
If you wish to install planter boxes in front of your business, contact the local BIA in the area if there is one.
You must also obtain a permit with Transportation Services to place a new planter on the street allowance.
