Watermain breaks and water pressure
There is a possibility of a loss of water pressure due to a watermain break. The area which may be affected by low water pressure due to a watermain break is not possible to determine, as there could be various reasons for the pressure drop.
An example would be the sudden loss of a considerable amount of water from the break itself which may have an impact in the immediate area. Another example may be the closing of watermain valves to isolate the break, this may change the flow of water to an area causing potentially a low pressure situation in a larger scale.
Any low water pressure event due to a watermain break should be considered a temporary event and upon repair of the watermain, the normal pressure should be restored.
Note: watermains within Exhibition Place fall under the City's responsibility.
