To request a water service turn on/off, submit a service request for a water service Line turn-On or turn-off online at https//www.toronto.ca/311 ,or by calling 311.
Water turn-on and turn-off requests can be booked 24/7 by appointment.
Appointments are available within four-hour time blocks, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. City staff will arrive within the four hour time block selected.
If you are requesting a water service turn-on for the first time for a new building with a large water service (4 inches or more), select the option for a new large water service and Toronto Water will contact you to schedule an appointment. Buildings with a water service of 4 or more inches are not single-family homes, they are commercial, multi-story residential, industrial or townhouse complexes.
Appointments are available within four-hour time blocks and will be attended to between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.,7 days a week. City staff will arrive within the four-hour time block selected.
Note: this request is not for a water meter removal
Toronto Water will not turn off the water for landlord/tenant disputes.
Fee: Per turn (the fee will be charged for a turn-on & again for a turn-off) - the fee will be added to your water bill.
