Hours of Operation

  • City Hall Building Hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Toronto At Your Service counter: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

 

Accessible Entrances:

  • Main front doors
  • Elizabeth St. & Hagerman St. at the rear of the building, main floor, north (not available on weekends/holidays)
  • TTC Wheel-Trans passenger waiting area at Elizabeth St & Hagerman St rear entrance, main floor north.  The area is equipped with a security mirror and a telephone.


Elevators

  • All elevators are accessible and have voice notification and braille


Washrooms

  • Main: located in the basement, east, access from stairs beside Cafe on the Square (change tables and nursing area)
  • Accessible: opposite the Cafe on the Square, ground floor, east
  • Gender Neutral (2): located on the 2nd floor, access from stairs on the east or west side of the rotunda
    • one is located behind Committee Room #1 in the east tower
    • one is located behind Committee Room #2 in the west tower

Cafe on the Square

  • Cafeteria, ground floor east
  • Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Corporate Security

  • Located on the ground floor, east

Toronto City Hall Wedding Chambers

  • Located on the 3rd floor in the east tower
  • Access from east elevators #1, #3 or #4, an elevator button for the Wedding Chambers level is indicated
  • Ceremonies are performed Monday to Saturday by appointment only 

Tenders, RFP & RFQ (Request for Proposal/Quotation)

  • Available for pick up on the 19th floor, west tower (closed)

Toronto Public Library

  • Located on the ground floor, east
  • Wheelchair accessible

Hester How Child Care Centre (City run)

  • Located on the ground floor, east
  • Access to the centre is restricted by a card-controlled security system

Courier deliveries

  • Deliveries made on foot during regular business hours will be directed to the Mail Room in the basement, accessed by east or west tower elevators
  • Deliveries made by vehicle should attend the loading docks/shipping at the rear of the building, access on Chestnut St. or Armoury St.
  • Courier deliveries will not be accepted at the customer service desk on the ground floor

Turnstile Installation

  • From November 13 to December 6, 2021, turnstiles will be installed inside City Hall, near the main entrance during non-business hours (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.). The turnstiles will distinguish between public space (the library, café and anything south of the Welcome Desk) and secure space (Rotunda, office towers) on City Hall's main floor.
  • Starting December 7, 2021, the turnstiles will be fully operational.


Baggage Screening

  • Located on the east and west sides of the main floor rotunda and at the Hagerman St. entrance.
  • Visitors will undergo baggage screening before accessing certain areas of the building, including offices of the Mayor and Councilors, committee rooms, and the Council Chambers.  Baggage screening will not be required to access City Services such as the library and the property tax and utility counters and Service Canada.

  • Accessed from the outside ramp on the east side of Nathan Phillips Square
