The map below shows affordable rental housing that is in development or recently completed. Affordable rental homes included on the map were approved* by City Council since January 1, 2017 either for financial incentives through a City housing program (for example: Open Door, Housing Now, or other) and/or through a development application.

The information presented below captures affordable housing projects approved since January 1, 2017. Projects labeled as “completed” do not represent all the completed projects from 2017 to 2023. For example, the 36 projects, including 1,592 units collectively, that were approved prior to January 1, 2017 and completed between 2017 and 2023 are not included on this map. Additional construction start and completion dates will be added to fully align with the charts shown on the Housing Data page.

*Approved means projects that received an approval from City Council, either as an initial approval for financial incentives through a City housing program such as Open Door, or Housing Now, or as part of a development application since January 1, 2017. Projects deemed “approved” may still be completing their planning approvals. This approval does not mean that projects are construction ready.
