If you requested to vote by mail, you will also receive a voter information card. It’s okay! The reason you receive a voter information card is because your name is on the voters’ list. You only need a voter card when you go to vote in person.
You can only vote once. If you change your mind before you have returned your completed Mail-in Voting package (containing your marked ballot and supporting documents), you are able to vote in person, and your package will automatically be cancelled.
Once you return your Mail-in Voting package (containing your marked ballot and supporting documents), your vote is complete and the option to vote in person is no longer available.
If you are an eligible Toronto voter and are looking for an alternative to voting in person, you can request to vote by mail.
Note: the deadline to apply for Mail-in Voting is Thursday, September 24 at 4:30 p.m.
