Wychwood Barns Park Playground Improvements

The City is improving the playground area in Wychwood Barns Park. The new playground opened to the public in September 2026. In 2027, a streetcar-themed play structure will be added on the west side of the playground, where the existing sand play area is.

Community engagement is currently underway to confirm the final design of the streetcar-themed play structure.

  • September 2026: New playground opens to the public
  • Fall 2026: Community engagement for new play structure
  • Late 2026 to Early 2027: Hire a construction team
  • Spring to Summer 2027: Installation of new play structure

The timeline is subject to change.

New Playground Opens

Construction is complete and the improved playground opens to the public.
