  • Transformed a section of the West Don Lands from a former industrial site to a sustainable, mixed-use neighbourhood
  • Housed 10,000 athletes during the 2015 Pan Am/Para Pan Am Games
  • Repurposed as a residential neighbourhood following the games

Mimico Waterfront Park
  • 1km of shoreline park space in west Toronto, with over 500m of multiuse trails
  • Connects the local community to the lake and established Mimico as a recreation destination
  • Restoration and shoreline enhancement in coordination with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority was a key element of the park’s design and construction

  • 4km of waterfront trail with 13.5 hectares of parkland
  • Constructed through lake-filling along a narrow section of existing shoreline

Cherry Beach Sports Fields
  • Two regulation-sized soccer and lacrosse fields
  • Addresses high demand for recreational facilities in the waterfront neighbourhoods
  • Accommodate a wide range of activities including field hockey, football, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, and lacrosse
  • Former brownfield site; land was remediated through removing and replacing contaminated soil and capped with artificial playing surfacing
