King Street Pilot Implementation – Fees for Outdoor Cafés and Public Installations in the Curb Lane Public Spaces

Toronto and East York Community Council will be considering the option to permit outdoor cafes and public installations on King Street as part of the King Street Pilot Project. The imposition of fees and the waiver of fees to implement the installations in curb lane public spaces will also occur for the area solely within the King Street Pilot at its meeting on February 21, 2018.
It is proposed that the recommendations be adopted at the City Council meeting to be held on March 26, 27 and 28, 2018.
The proposed changes are detailed in the report titled, “King Street Pilot – Outdoor Cafés and Public Installations in the Curb Lane Public Spaces” in the pilot area.

Any comments received after the Committee meeting will be forwarded to City Council.
While the staff report sets out proposed changes, the Committee and/or City Council may make amendments and fee recommendations that differ from the recommendations set out in the report.
