We:
- provide dog and cat licensing services
- take in stray and surrendered animals or those in need of protective care
- provide quality care for homeless animals that are sick or injured
- reunite more than 2,000 lost animals with their guardians each year through our lost and found pets program
- find responsible, loving homes for more than 4,000 animals each year through our pet adoption programs
- provide vaccinations and microchip implants for animals to prepare them for adoption
- spay and neuter cats, dogs and rabbits to reduce pet overpopulation
- provide volunteer and donation programs to benefit dogs, cats and small animals
Shelter Locations
Animal Shelters are open to the public by appointment only for emergencies, adoption, pet redemption, pet surrender and fostering. Please call 416-338-PAWS during the hours of 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. to make an appointment.
Shelters are closed on statutory holidays, Remembrance Day and Easter Monday. Free parking is available at the shelters.
