The City of Toronto leases City-owned or City-managed spaces to eligible non-profit organizations for a nominal, below market rent. Organizations hold short- and long-term agreements with the City to deliver direct programs to local neighbourhoods that meet specific community needs.
Providing affordable community space is a key component to building strong neighbourhoods. Services delivered under the Community Space Tenancy (CST) Policy include community health, arts and culture, recreation, before and after school programs, settlement services and others.
If you’re interested in applying for a space, joining the space interest registry or learning how to create a proposal for a community space tenancy opportunity, contact us at communityspace@toronto.ca.
