The list below shows Ontario Works Training Programs to help prepare for employment, self-employment or career advancement.

Program participants receive $250/month for training-related expenses and may also qualify for technology supports and/or transportation funds to participate in online or in-person training. All WRAP participants will be provided support to apply for Toronto Public Library Card and referrals to income tax clinics.

If you need support to overcome current challenges such as social isolation, mental health and addictions, homelessness and food security, there are also a range of Life Stabilization Programs available to help you. These online programs include a customized plan for each participant, one-on-one and group counselling or coaching, support to navigate and referrals to local services, as well as opportunities to build peer relationships and networks.

10 week program (plus 2 months post program support) will help participants build a strong base of wellness while they navigate extremely challenging circumstances and isolation. Program will help build resilience and interpersonal skills, facilitate access to required social services and foster community connection. 12 week program (plus 2 months post program support) will provide one-on-one case management support and peer group support to individuals who are experiencing poverty and/or homelessness. Program includes a needs assessment and individualized support based on those results. Program will include peer support groups with a structured educational component on topics relevant to the group’s needs, one-on-one sessions to support current life challenges and referrals to navigate these issues. The program includes a life stabilization assessment and a strengths-based personality assessment which inform individualized activity plans. Working for Change

10 week program (plus 2 months post program support) connecting with participants who are struggling with social isolation, mental health issues and poverty, and in need of community resources, including food or financial resources. Program includes weekly virtual group activities, information sessions, connection to resources based on specific needs and the development of support systems with other group participants. Participants who do not have a computer or tablet, or internet connection will be provided with one in order to participate in Zoom calls, group chats, and access videos or webinars. 12 week program (plus 2 months post program support) supporting participants to develop access to resources, skills and strategies to cope and become prepared to transition to other training programs to reach their goals. Program includes virtual one-on-one counselling sessions, referrals to food, housing and financial supports, peer networking circles to address isolation and share coping strategies, online workshops on Self-Managing Mental Health, Healthy Eating, Financial Literacy and Continuous Learning Resources, and courses on digital literacy, reading and writing skills. 8 week program (plus 2 months post program support) for vulnerable and marginalized individuals including those with mental health issues who require stabilization and wrap-around supports. Individuals who are ready to pursue skill building, will have the opportunity to access partnerships with Amazon Web Services, Accenture and IBM to provide a suite of cloud and future skills training.
