The City of Toronto is undertaking a Transportation Management and Mitigation Plan (TMMP) to evaluate potential traffic management improvements in the Casa Loma neighbourhood, due to the growing popularity of special events at Casa Loma and the associated traffic and parking demands. The TMMP will document the traffic and parking conditions within the study area during a special event occurrence and a non-event period.

A public event was held on July 2, 2019 to present a number of proposed improvements.  View the recommended improvements.

The TMMP will be conducted in two phases. The first phase of the TMMP will establish the current conditions for both the special event and non-event periods. The second phase will recommend mitigation measures through engineering analysis and public consultation to address transportation issues.

In summary, the completion of the TMMP will result in:

  • an understanding of the key problems resulting in traffic congestion within the focused study area
  • a list of potential improvements and a recommended a set of measures that may be implemented

Two rounds of public engagement are planned for the TMMP. The first round took place on November 6, 2018, and the second round will take place in early 2019.
