Early spring recreation registration starts on February 24, at 7 a.m. for all ages. On the morning of February 24, the Enroll Now button will be live at participating Free Centres for everyone at 7 a.m. Only residents who are eligible for Early Registration will be able to complete their registrations.

Residents living near 24 free centres may be able to register early, one week ahead of the general registration start dates for Spring recreation activities. Early local registration uses data to create zones based on population, physical access, and social factors to make participating in recreation programs easier for residents.

Early local registration applies to registered activities offered at participating free centres. Early Local Registration does not apply to:

  • Drop-In Programs with or without Reservations
  • Accessible Recreation Programs
  • Afterschool Recreation Care Programs
  • Aquatic Leadership Courses

Early local registration is being evaluated on an ongoing basis.

Meet your local centre staff and check if you are eligible for early registration. Staff will also share information on how to prepare for registration and Welcome Policy recreation subsidy to help with the cost of paid programs at other centres.
