Early Local Recreation Registration

When early registration starts on November 25, 2025, at 7 a.m., an Enroll Now button will appear on the map for everyone regardless of eligibility. Only those eligible will be able to proceed with registration. Check the map to find out if you're eligible.

As of Winter 2026, residents living near ten free centres have the opportunity to register early, ahead of the general, city-wide registration start date. Early local registration uses data to create zones based on population, physical access, and social factors to make participating in recreation programs easier for residents.

Early local registration is being evaluated on an ongoing basis.

Neighbourhood Meetings

At both in-person and virtual neighbourhood meetings, staff will share information about:

activities and services, including the Welcome Policy subsidy to help with the cost of recreation
preparing for registration

information in the list under the map with the community centre you’re eligible for, with the message “Your address is eligible for Early Local Registration at [community centre]”

a message in the list area under the map: “This address is not eligible for Early Local Registration.”
