Many recreation activities are adapted to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. To ensure a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience, classes are smaller, additional assistance is provided and sometimes adaptive equipment is used. To access Adapted and Inclusive Services (AIS), you need an AIS membership.

We offer swimming classes for children, youth, adults and older adults at many levels. Participants will be able to improve their swimming skills, get out of their comfort zone and increase their knowledge of water safety. Our instructors ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Some activities require a caregiver to be in the water to participate.

Become a certified Aquatic Fitness Instructor or recertify your current certification by attending the Aquatic Fitness Conference.
Activities are popular and many have waiting lists. If you can no longer attend the activities you are registered for, contact the community centre where the activity is offered or call 416-396-7378, so the spot can be offered to someone else. If you do not attend the first two classes and have not notified us, you will be contacted and may be withdrawn from the activities. This will allow others on the waitlist to participate.
