Notice: The following parks off-leash areas will be closed on the following days for maintenance.

  • Withrow Park Off-Leash-Area - will be closed for maintenance on Saturday July 20, 2024 from 7am to 2pm (weather permitting). 
  • Wychwood Off-Leash-Area - will closing the DOLA Monday July 22nd for 2 weeks to address drainage, leveling and surface material issues. Hillcrest Park , which is very close to Wychwood, has a DOLA that can be utilized in the interim. 
  • High Park Off-Leas Area - construction will commence at the beginning of July and last approximately 1 to 2 months. 


If you have a concern about an off-leash area in a City of Toronto Park, please contact 311 to be referred to the park supervisor.

The City of Toronto provides over 60 off-leash parks. visit the City of Toronto's website to determine what park locations provide the following::

  • off-leash areas
  • parks that allow commercial dog walkers
  • what parks have fenced-in parks areas
  • what parks contain a small dog area for dogs weighing a maximum 20 lbs, and a maximum height of 12 inches at the shoulders.

 

Dog owners interested in establishing an off-leash area in a City-owned park, green space, waterfront area or alternative site must establish a local dog-owner association.
