The City of Toronto has resumed issuing liquor licences.  For more information email liquorlicence@toronto.ca.

For a permanent establishment (restaurant, bar, tavern), approvals must meet Fire and Building codes and Health regulations.

Applying

Applicants are required to obtain an information package and municipal information form from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission In addition to the Municipal Information Form from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, the City of Toronto requires the Municipal Liquor Licence Clearance form to be completed. This form is available online.

Registry Services is the single point of contact for the City of Toronto.

Processing time

City Clerk's - Registry Services forwards requests to District ML&S Investigations Office who should provide a response on its investigation within 14 days of receipt. To determine any delays contact ML&S district office.
