Temporary signs seized due to non-compliance are held and stored for a period of thirty (30) days. After the 30 day period, the sign is then destroyed without notice.
Fees are applicable for the costs associated with the removal, storage, disposal as well as the recovery of seized portable signs.

If a temporary sign is erected or displayed without permit it may, without notice, be removed by the Municipal Licensing & Standards at the expense of the owner. A fee is charged for the retrieval of an illegal mobile sign plus the cost of storage, charged at a rate per day.
A fine is charged for an illegal portable sign, a new development sign, an open house directional sign or a garage sale sign in contravention with Bylaw 693.
