Permit - P&R - Outdoor Ovens - City parks

Booking Outdoor Ovens

• Booking is available all year from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• The booking must be done at least 1 week before the event.
• Booking is free for Toronto residents and no-for-profit organizations. A booking fee is required for commercial use or non-residents.
• All applicants must have general liability insurance naming the City of Toronto as an additional insured, with a minimum of $2 million coverage.  Applicants may be able to purchase insurance from the City of Toronto 
•  Once a booking has been made, a local Supervisor will call the applicant to confirm details, outline what to expect on the day of the booking and arrange for access to the ovens.

Using the Outdoor Oven

• At least one member of the group who attends the event must be trained on the proper use of an outdoor oven. You must meet this requirement by watching Using the Outdoor Oven video and by reading the Outdoor Oven in a City Park Training Guide.
• If food will be served and/or sold to members of the public, you must meet all safe food preparation and handling requirements set out by Toronto Public Health.
