News Release
April 11, 2019

All five City of Toronto golf courses will open for the season today at 10 a.m.
Dentonia Park, Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods and Tam O’Shanter courses all offer reduced rates for seniors, juniors and early evening or “twilight” golfers.
Additional discounts include “family night” where junior players can golf for free when accompanied by a paying adult during the weekend afternoon nine hole times.
Toronto’s courses are all affordable, high quality and TTC-accessible. Each course has unique characteristics and offers something for all skill levels. An essential part of the City’s golf success scorecard making golf accessible to everyone, resulting in the courses offering reasonable rates and a variety of promotions for all ages.
The courses also offer affordable clinics and annual memberships for junior golfers ages 10 to 18. Private, semi-private and group lessons taught by qualified instructors are also available. Some courses also offer leagues for women.
FlingGolf is available at the City courses other than Don Valley. This sporting activity, which combines elements of golf and lacrosse, is played with a FlingStick (rentals available) to hurl a golf ball on the golf course. FlingGolf offers a faster pace of play and is designed to help introduce new players to the game – or to provide a new challenge for the experienced golfer.
Some holes at Don Valley and Scarlett Woods will temporarily be restricted in play because of construction work.
More information about the City’s golf courses is available at https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/recreation/golf/. Tee times can be booked by phoning the courses.
