This evening, Mayor Olivia Chow, Jason Thorne, Executive Director and Chief Planner, City of Toronto, and members of the design and development community will come together to celebrate the 2025 Toronto Urban Design Awards winners.
Now in its 35th year, the Toronto Urban Design Awards celebrate the architects, landscape architects, urban designers, artists, students and city builders who shape the look and livability of Toronto. Held every two years, the awards program highlights recent achievements in city building and recognizes projects that advance accessibility, inclusivity, reconciliation and sustainability.
An independent jury of architects, landscape architects, urban designers and academics have brought their expertise to recognize the projects that exemplify design excellence.
This year the jury selected a total of 24 projects: 12 projects for Awards of Excellence, nine for Awards of Merit, two Special Jury Awards for Integrated Approach and one Special Jury Award for Community Incubator.
The full list of 2025 Toronto Urban Design Awards winners will be published later today on the City’s website.
