Tomorrow, Councillor Alejandra Bravo (Davenport, Chair of Economic and Community Development Committee), together with City of Toronto staff, will officially announce FitnessTO, a new flexible fitness membership program for City-run fitness and community recreation centres.

Location: Joseph J. Piccininni Community Centre, 1369 St. Clair Avenue W. (weight and cardio room)

The City of Toronto operates more than 65 fitness and community recreation centres where people can access weight and cardio rooms, lane swims and a variety of drop-in group fitness classes. The public are invited to try introductory fitness and aquatic fitness classes and learn more about FitnessTO during open houses tomorrow, noon to 4 p.m. at:

  • Cummer Park Community Centre, 6000 Leslie St.
  • Etobicoke Olympium, 590 Rathurn Rd.
  • Joseph J. Piccininni Community Centre, 1369 St. Clair Avenue W.
  • Port Union Community Recreation Centre, 5450 Lawrence Ave. E.
  • Trinity Community Recreation Centre, 155 Crawford St.
