Mayor Olivia Chow will be joined by Deputy Mayor Mike Colle (Eglinton-Lawrence) and Marco Mendicino, Member of Parliament for Eglinton—Lawrence, to announce the Government of Canada’s commitment to provide funding towards the planned new Lawrence Heights Community Recreation & Child Care Centre.

The new Lawrence Heights Community Recreation & Child Care Centre will be among the City’s largest community and recreation centres at 72,000 sq ft. and serve more than 48,000 residents. The new facility is part of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) Lawrence Heights Revitalization project and will feature state-of-the-art amenities and target Net Zero emissions with its building design.
