The City of Toronto continues to respond to COVID-19. The City is urging all people who have not yet received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine or who are eligible for a second dose to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Toronto Public Health is reporting 37 new cases of COVID-19 in Toronto today. Since the start of the pandemic there have been a total of 170,266 cases of COVID-19. There are 58 people hospitalized. To date, there have been 3,591 COVID-19 deaths in Toronto. In total, 166,390 people have recovered. Case status data can be found on Toronto Public Health’s reporting dashboard.

The City and Team Toronto vaccination partners have now administered more than 4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and continue to work to vaccinate people as quickly as possible.

Since Tuesday, more than 33,000 Torontonians have moved up their late summer or early fall second dose vaccine appointment. The more than 128,000 Torontonians who still have vaccination appointments in August, September and October are strongly urged to accelerate their appointments to July and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

There are appointments available this weekend at City-operated immunization clinics. Appointments for anyone age 12 or older can be booked by residents through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on toronto.ca/covid-19 or by calling the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900. Last week, the City also opened walk-in vaccinations for adults at four of the nine City-operated vaccination clinics.

Toronto is now in Step Three of the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen. The City has updated the COVID-19: Reopening Guide for Toronto Residents with a list of activities that are permitted in Step Three.
