Governor General Mary Simon to pay an official visit to Mayor John Tory

Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser will visit City Hall and Mayor John Tory, as part of their first official visit to Toronto. The event is a photo opportunity only.

Date: Thursday, March 31

Time: 4 p.m.

Location: City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., outside the main entrance

Photo opportunities:

• Their Excellencies will be greeted by Mayor Tory at the main doors of City Hall, where they will walk past the City of Toronto Honour Guard, which includes members of the Toronto Police Service, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Paramedic Services, TTC and City staff.
• Following a meeting with the Mayor, the Governor General and Mr. Fraser will sign the official City of Toronto Guest Book in the Mayor’s Protocol Lounge.
