Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg and other City of Toronto officials will welcome the newest group of firefighters to the City at a graduation ceremony tomorrow.

Date: Friday, June 2
Time: 1 to 4 p.m.
Location: Toronto Fire and Paramedic Services Training Centre, 895 Eastern Ave.

The graduation ceremony recognizes the successful completion of a comprehensive training program and will see recruits join Toronto Fire Services (TFS) Operations divisions.

103 Operations firefighter recruits will graduate from their 18-week recruit training program with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) professional qualifications as Operations firefighters, as well as qualifications in both fire prevention and public education. This enables TFS to conduct an increased number of Ontario Fire Code Inspections, resulting in enhanced fire protection service levels across the city. Following commencement, graduates will be deployed to their respective crews and fire stations across the city.
