Toronto City Clerk John Elvidge will brief the media on preparations for Toronto’s 2026 municipal election and be available for questions.  

 

 Date: Tuesday, September 22 

Time: 10 to 11:15 a.m. (set up 9:30 a.m.) 

Location: Toronto Elections, 89 Northline Rd. 

Note: Parking is limited; however, parking for satellite/feed trucks can be accommodated with advance notice to media@toronto.ca 

 

 The event will also include: 

  • Information about Toronto’s three voting options  
  • A tour of Toronto Elections’ head office 
  • Voting equipment demonstrations 
  • Presentation of a new civic education program called Kids Vote Weekend   

Following the event, photos, videos and a fact sheet about the election will be available on the City’s Media Room webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/media-room. 

Toronto Elections will also host a results testing session for media outlets on Monday, September 28 from 8 to 10 p.m. Details are available on the Toronto Elections webpage: www.toronto.ca/elections 

Election day is Monday, October 26.
