Mayor Olivia Chow will be joined by Carol Zoulalian, Executive Director of St. Jude Community Homes, to officially announce the purchase of a residential building through the City of Toronto’s Multi-Unit Residential Acquisition (MURA) program.

The City’s MURA program offers funding to not-for-profit housing providers to preserve existing affordable rental housing stock for Toronto residents. The program supports the purchase and conversion of private market rental housing to create permanent affordable homes owned by not-for-profit and Indigenous housing organizations, including community land trusts.
