Tomorrow, Toronto Paramedic Services (TPS) will recognize staff and community members whose actions made a difference during medical emergencies. The ceremony will honour recipients of the Toronto Paramedic Services Citizen Hero Award and three staff members receiving Long Service Medals.
The event will highlight incidents where quick action by members of the public, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator use, helped save lives. Survivors and family members connected to some of the award-winning rescues will also be in attendance.

Note: Parking for media is available in the Revivaltime Tabernacle church parking lot at 4340 Dufferin St. at the north end of Lodestar Avenue. There is no entrance to the Joint Headquarters building directly off Dufferin Street. The event is not open to the public. The ceremony will feature award and medal presentations, along with remarks from Paramedic Services Chief Bikram Chawla, Deputy City Manager Kate Bassil and members of the TPS senior leadership team.
