Quotes:

“Pharmacists and pharmacies have been an important part of the Team Toronto response throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This is another excellent partnership to help residents get vaccinated for COVID-19 and the flu. We know that vaccines are our best protection against serious illness as a result of COVID-19 and the flu, so I encourage Toronto residents age 50 and older to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to visit their Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall pharmacy to receive their vaccinations.”
– Mayor John Tory

“Now is the time to get your vaccines if you have yet to do so. Vaccination is our best tool to protect us against serious illness and hospitalization due to COVID-19 and the flu. These extended vaccination hours at local pharmacies will help to make it easier for residents who are 50 years and older to stay up to date with their vaccines through convenient times and locations across our city. Thank you to all of our pharmacy partners for your continued hard work to protect our community from this virus.”
– Dr. Eileen de Villa, Medical Officer of Health

“As healthcare professionals, we’re faced with a unique set of challenges this year – COVID-19 remains a real risk and the flu has the potential to wreak havoc on our already overburdened healthcare system. Throughout the pandemic pharmacists have played an important role, supporting public health priorities in the fight against COVID-19. As the situation evolved, so too have our tactics to help keep our communities safe and healthy. We’re pleased to offer these combination clinics this year, to make vaccinations more accessible and convenient for those who need them.”
– Jeff Leger, President, Shoppers Drug Mart

“We know that it takes a community effort to protect each other from the flu. As a trusted destination for health and wellness, we are proud to support the City of Toronto to make both the flu and COVID-19 bivalent vaccines accessible to all its residents. It is not too late to get immunized. Rexall makes it easy, with vaccinations offered at all our pharmacies across the city. We strongly encourage everyone to get both the flu vaccine and the new bivalent COVID-19, especially in time to enjoy the holiday season with their families.”
– Nicolas Caprio, President, Rexall Pharmacy Group
