Several events this weekend will involve road closures. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy these events. Businesses in the local areas will be open to pedestrian traffic but some roads will be closed to vehicles.
Festivals and other special events are important to the city, injecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually into Toronto’s economy. They are enjoyed each year by local residents and visitors.
Riverside Eats & Beats Streetfest
There will be a series of full closures in place on Saturday, June 1 for this street festival:
• Broadview Avenue just south of Queen Street East from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Portions of McGee Street, Saulter Street, Munro Street and Carroll Street near Queen Street East from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Pape Village Summerfest
Pape Avenue will be closed from Mortimer Avenue to Gamble Avenue on Saturday, June 1 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Ride for Heart
The Gardiner Expressway from South Kingsway to the Don Valley Parkway (including all ramps) and the Don Valley Parkway from the Gardiner Expressway to York Mills Road (including all ramps) will be fully closed on Sunday, June 2 from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Toronto Raptors tailgate and viewing party
The following full closures will be in effect to accommodate this event on Sunday, June 2:
• Maple Leaf Square (Bremner Boulevard from Lake Shore Boulevard West to York Street) from 7 a.m. to midnight
• York Street between Lake Shore Boulevard West and Front Street, and Bremner Boulevard between Lower Simcoe Street and York Street, from 1 p.m. to midnight
