The deadline for submissions for the 2013 Toronto Book Awards is March 29, 2013.

The Toronto Book Awards honour authors of books of literary or artistic merit that are evocative of Toronto.

Eligibility

  • Fiction and non-fiction books published in English for adults and/or children that are evocative of Toronto are eligible.
  • There are no separate categories: novels, short story collections, books of poetry, biographies, histories, social studies, books about sports, children's books, photographic collections are judged together.
  • Reprints, textbooks and manuscripts are not eligible.

To be eligible for the 2013 awards, books must be published between January 1 and December 31, 2012.

Submissions
There are no entry forms to complete. Simply submit six copies of the book you consider eligible, along with your name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address to:

The deadline for submissions for the 2013 Toronto Book Awards is March 29, 2013. (The deadline for submissions for the 2012 Awards has passed.)

Toronto Book Awards Committee
A jury of five committee members selects the shortlist and the winner. Members have a demonstrated interest and/or experience in literature, literacy books and book publishing.

Finalists
Finalists are expected to attend scheduled readings hosted by the City of Toronto and the Toronto Public Library at the Word On The Street festival to be held the last weekend in September.
