Proposed Sites for Off-Leash Areas

Applications to establish off-leash areas have been made for the following sites. Please note that these are not approved off-leash areas. All relevant by-laws will be enforced and dogs must be on a leash.

Parks, Forestry & Recreation accepts all applications to establish an off-leash area within the City’s park system. Each proposed site will be assessed before a decision is made to establish an off-leash area. Following the assessment, if a site is deemed suitable for an off-leash area, Parks, Forestry and Recreation will hold discussions with the community. Please note that the assessment and implementation plan are comprehensive to ensure the successful integration of off-leash areas into City parks, greenspaces and waterfront areas. This list of proposed sites will be updated as applications are received.
