
The urban beach is the focal point of HtO Park. It faces the inner harbour with Toronto islands in the distance. Bright yellow umbrellas populate the white sand providing shade for those relaxing in muskoka chairs.

From the Gardiner Expressway, exit Bay Street southbound, west on Queen’s Quay. By public transportation from Union subway station, take the Harbourfront LRT streetcar to Queen’s Quay W and exit off Spadina, or from Spadina subway station, take the streetcar south to Queens Quay.
The winning design team for Phase I consisted of Janet Rosenberg & Associates Landscapes Architects of Toronto and Claude Cormier Architects Paysagistes Inc. of Montreal. Together they created the design known as HTO. The name represents the fundamental changes that will take place in the relationship between Toronto and the waterfront.
