Toronto Track and Field Centre |
|
The Metro Toronto
Track and Field Centre is located on the northern edge of the York
University campus. The facility was developed in 1978 by the former
Metro Park & Culture Department, and its operations and programming
are coordinated by a committee that includes members from the City
of Toronto, York University, and track and field organizations.
The indoor fieldhouse can accommodate over 900 people, including
spectators, while the outdoor facility can accommodate over 2,500
spectators. Over 80 special events are held at the Toronto Track
and Field Centre each year, attracting approximately 200,000 people.
