Permits are available for individuals to walk 4 to 6 dogs on a commercial basis. Permits are issued according to the Commercial Dog Walker Permit Policy
To obtain or renew a permit please complete the Application for a Commercial Dog Walker Permit and visit your local Parks, Forestry and Recreation Permit Office in person.
Commercial dog-walkers may obtain permits, in person, by providing:
A photo of the commercial dog walker will be taken at the time of permit purchase and recorded on the client's account.

Violations of the Commercial Dog Walker Permit Policy and non-compliance with Municipal Code Chapters 608, Parks and 349 Animals will be recorded and tracked by Parks, Forestry and Recreation for further action if necessary, including permit suspension.
A permit holder whose commercial dog walker permit has been suspended may appeal the decision of the General Manager of Parks, Forestry and Recreation, and request to be heard by the Commercial Dog Walker Permit Appeal Committee. A non-refundable fee of $200 must accompany the request.
