Bedford Park Community Centre is a shared-use facility located in the Yonge/Lawrence area. Bedford Park is not a large centre, but it does offer a wide variety of programs for the community. Throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring, Bedford Park offers preschool programs, older adult programs, fitness programs, sports programs and swim lessons. During the summer months, Bedford Park offers summer camps, fitness classes, an older adult drop-in program and swim lessons. Some programs operate from St. Leonard's Church.

These Adventure Camps, for campers ages 6-12, have all in the ingredients of an Activity Camp and more. Campers are introduced to a variety of enhanced activities through workshops, special events and excursions. These camps have a $10 consumable fee.
The Extended Care option provides supervised care before and/or after camp for children registered in City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry and Recreation camp sessions. Extended hours programs have a separate barcode for registration. Refer to the camp program charts for times, fees and locations.
Fitness courses that incorporate a cardio component benefiting the cardiovascular system (heart/lungs). Step, Cardiokick (boxing) low impact, hi/lo are all classes with cardio components. Includes warm-up, muscle conditioning and stretching. Possible use of hand weights and/or tubing.
Build longer, leaner muscles while safely exploring optimal strength, flexibility and endurance. Exercises focus on strengthening core postural, abdominal and back muscles. May be required to supply your own mat.
Combat fatigue, release tension and day-to-day stress. Gentle exercises promote flexibility, proper breathing and relaxation while strengthening and toning muscles. May be required to supply your own mat.
The Guardian Swim Program provides an introduction to the aquatic environment and basic skills. It is age appropriate and progressive. Learning is facilitated through the parent/ caregiver to ensure comfort, communication and extra safety. Parent or guardian must accompany child into the water. One child per parent/guardian

Development of entries and exits, breath holding, bobbing and floats. Introduction to front and back swim, treading skills and deep water orientations. Continuous swim 5 metres.
Development of endurance, time requirements, entries, bobbing, rolls, sculling and treading skills. Introduction to front crawl, PFD/lifejacket/buoyant aids, clothed survival and use of aids. Continuous swim 15 metres.
Safety, facility and aquatic orientation. Introduction to entries, exits, submersions, breath control and basic floats with assistance. Floats, movement, basic kicks and swimming skills.
