Arts & Crafts - Preschool
Courses offering instruction on a variety of arts and crafts techniques and projects.
Fine Arts - Child
Instructional courses in a variety of the fine arts including drawing, painting, sculpting
Piano - Group - Child
Piano courses taught in group setting.
Piano - Private - Child
Private piano lessons are instructed to suit participant's skill and ability level.

Camps

Camp Enriched Child - All Day Basic
These Adventure Camps, for campers ages 6-12, have all in the ingredients of an Activity Camp and more. Campers are introduced to a variety of enhanced activities through workshops, special events and excursions. These camps have no consumable fee.
Camp Specialty Child - All Day
The "ultimate camp experience" for campers, up to 5 years of age, who want to develop or fine-tune their skills in specialized areas of interest. Skilled and experienced instructors provide specialized instructional programs. All of these programs are complemented with a full line-up of traditional camp activities.
MB Camp Enriched Child - All Day Basic
These Adventure Camps, for campers ages 6-12, have all in the ingredients of an Activity Camp and more. Campers are introduced to a variety of enhanced activities through workshops, special events and excursions. These camps have no consumable fee.

General Interest

General Interest - Preschool
Courses that span a wide variety of activities and interests.
General Interest Clubs - Child
Clubs are groups of participants that meet reguarly and share common interests. A wide variety of clubs types are available. If you withdraw from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. No refunds are given for classes or programs that you miss. 100% attendance is mandatory!
Interactive Play - Preschool
Courses designed for parents/caregivers and children to participate together in activities.

Sports

Basketball - Child
Develop basic skills and fundamentals of the game of basketball through recreational play.
Sports - Preschool
A variety of activities that incorpoarate a variety of sports and skills.

Swimming

Swim Guardian
The Guardian Swimming Program is an introduction to the aquatic environment and basic skills. It is age appropriate and progressive. Learning is focussed through the parent/guardian to ensure comfort, communication and extra safety. Parent or guardian must accompany child into the water. One child per parent/guardian.
Swim Preschool 1
Safety, facility and aquatic orientation. Introduction to entries, exits, submersions, breath control and basic floats with assistance. Floats, movement, basic kicks and swimming skills. BEGINNING FALL 2008 - The Recreation Branch will be implementing a NEW Aquatic PRESCHOOL Swimming Lesson PROGRAM. Please refer to the Toronto Learn to Swim Continuum Chart in the Swimming Section in the FUN Guide to ensure that you register your child in the appropriate level.
Swim Preschool 2
Development of entries and exits, breath holding, bobbing and floats. Introduction to front and back swim, treading skills and deep water orientations. Continuous swim 5 metres. BEGINNING FALL 2008 - The Recreation Branch will be implementing a NEW Aquatic PRESCHOOL Swimming Lesson PROGRAM. Please refer to the Toronto Learn to Swim Continuum Chart in the Swimming Section in the FUN Guide to ensure that you register your child in the appropriate level.
Swim Preschool 3
Development of endurance, time requirements, entries, bobbing, rolls, sculling and treading skills. Introduction to front crawl, PFD/lifejacket/buoyant aids, clothed survival and use of aids. Swim Semi Private Ultra 1

Swim Semi Private Ultra 2
Development of entries and exits, breath holding, bobbing and floats. Introduction to front and back swim, roll over, treading skills and deep water orientation. Continuous swim 5 metres. Maximum class size limited to 2 participants.
Swim Semi Private Ultra 3
Development of endurance, time requirements, entries, bobbing, rolls, sculling and treading skills. Introduction to front crawl, PFD/lifejacket/buoyant aids, clothed survival, use of aids and artificial respiration. Continuous swim 15 metres. Maximum class size limited to 2 participants.
Swim Tiny Tots
Children in tiny tots progress through the Learn to Swim skills at their own pace. Lessons are private (one participant per instructor) and 15 minutes in length. There are no prerequisites.
Swim Ultra 1
Safety, facility and aquatic orientation. Introduction to entries, exits, submersions, breath control and basic floats with assistance. Floats, movement, basic kicks and swimming skills.
Swim Ultra 2
Development of entries and exits, breath holding, bobbing and floats. Introduction to front and back swim, treading skills and deep water orientations. Continuous swim 5 metres.
Swim Ultra 3
Development of endurance, time requirements, entries, bobbing, rolls, sculling and treading skills. Introduction to front crawl, PFD/lifejacket/buoyant aids, clothed survival and use of aids. Continuous swim 15 metres.
Swimming Private Lessons
Private lessons provide a ratio of one instructor per participant while completing swimming skills specific to the participant.
