The City of Toronto's pools are the places to be this summer. Whether you choose instructional programs, leisure swim, aquatic leadership or permitting a pool, we have something safe for everyone. Swimming is a great way to maintain lifelong fitness and wellness as it is often ranked as one of the best forms of exercise for its aerobic and resistance training benefits. Toronto operates 64 indoor pools, 58 outdoor pools, 106 wading pools and 93 splash pads.

Instructional Programs

Whether you have a child who needs to improve their skills, a teenager who wants to be a lifeguard, or you simply want to get back into the swim of things, give our instructional programs a try. Enjoy the benefits of having highly trained and friendly instructors, excellent teaching aids, and progress reports every step of the way!

Youth Lifeguard Club

The Youth Lifeguard Club is a free drop-in program created for youth under 16 to discover the world of competitive lifesaving. No prerequisite swimming awards required. Now you can meet new people, work towards achieving your Bronze Medallion, get in shape and learn how to save lives!

Water Park

Kidstown is the only water park owned by the City of Toronto. This one-of-of a kind aquatic facility is a popular birthday party venue for children. Kidstown is within a gated play area that includes splash pads, wading pools, washrooms and picnic tables.
