Tennis, anyone? Not only is tennis a great way to have fun and to get fit, but it always presents a challenge no matter your skill level. Our structured programs provide tennis players of all ages with opportunities to start learning, improve techniques, and work on advanced play. Toronto Parks and Recreation Division puts you in the swing of things this summer with 210 locations throughout Toronto.

Our courts are open from April to October (weather permitting). If you're interested in joining a community tennis club, refer to the Sports Facilities Listing for community group listings.

Types of Courts

Public sites are completely free and available to the general public at all times. Nets are provided by the City of Toronto. Participants are requested to line up and play for half hour intervals. Players must vacate these courts “on the hour and half-hour unless otherwise noted”.

Community Tennis Clubs encourage the growth of tennis and provide programs and organize events for their members. Many clubs are actively seeking new members, so contact your local club to get a membership application. Community Clubs also have 4 free prime time hours for the public to play during the week. Please confirm the hours of access at your club location as they vary from site to site. Non members may be asked to pay a non member fee to access community club sites.
