PATH Master Plan study
A Master Plan Study will look at improving the operation of the PATH system and provide guidance for its future development and growth.
TTC-Waterfront Toronto Transit EA
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), under the auspices of the Waterfront Toronto, has initiated an Environmental Assessment of proposed transit services for the Port Lands, West Don Lands and East Bayfront development areas.
Union Station Restoration
Union Station is undergoing a long-term revitalization process. Please see the project website for more information.
Parking and Loading Standards
As part of the Zoning By-law Project, parking and loading standards were reviewed separately to determine new standards. A Car Share study was also conducted to examine the impact of providing dedicated parking spaces for car share vehicles in multi-unit residential buildings. 2006 Cordon Count Program Information Bulletin
This bulletin outlines key findings and trends for vehicle and person travel across the City of Toronto from the 2006 City of Toronto Cordon Count vehicle survey.
2006 Transportation Tomorrow Survey
This important travel survey is a cooperative effort by 21 local and provincial government agencies to collect information about urban travel. An understanding of urban travel results in better decisions on road and transit improvements, both now and in the future. Similar surveys were undertaken in 1986, 1991, 1996 and 2001 and the resulting information widely used in literally hundreds of transportation planning studies.

Yonge Subway Extension
The City of Toronto and the TTC are partners with York Region on a study of the Yonge Subway Extension from Finch Station to Richmond Hill Centre (at Yonge Street and Highway 7).
Don Mills Road Light Rail Transit Preliminary Planning for a Transit Project Assessment Study
The City of Toronto and the TTC are carrying out a planning study on transit improvements along Don Mills Road from Steeles Avenue to the Bloor-Danforth Subway and coordinating with York Region for service north to Highway 7. A series of routing options, types of transit vehicle options and road and transit lane designs will be analyzed and evaluated.
Kingston Road/Danforth Avenue Preliminary Planning for a Transit Project Assessment Study
The City of Toronto and the TTC are carrying out a planning study for transit improvements along Kingston Road and Danforth Avenue. The Study will look at ways to improve transit service along Kingston Road and Danforth Avenue, between Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue.

Yonge Street Surface Transit Improvements Class EA
The City of Toronto, the TTC and GO Transit are jointly carrying out a Yonge Street Surface Transit Improvements Class EA to investigate options for improving surface transit operations along Yonge Street between Finch Avenue and Steeles Avenue.
Downsview to York University Bus Only Lanes Class EA
The TTC and the City of Toronto are evaluating measures to significantly improve the speed and reliability of the bus services between Downsview Subway Station and York University. The study will evaluate the benefits of bus lanes and other possible approaches and how these could affect road users, adjacent properties, and the natural environment.
Six Points Interchange Reconfiguration EA
The City of Toronto is investigating the potential reconfiguration of the Six Points interchange, the area where Kipling Avenue, Dundas Street West, and Bloor Street West meet.
Strategic Plan for the Future of the Scarborough RT
The existing Scarborough RT trains need to be retired over the next 7 to 10 years and the TTC does not have sufficient trains to meet current demand. To address these concerns, the TTC and the City of Toronto began a strategic planning study on the future of the Scarborough RT in September of 2005. The Final Report - Strategic Plan for the Scarborough RT has now been completed and presented at the August 30, 2006 TTC Commission Meeting.
Don Valley Corridor Transportation Master Plan
The Don Valley Corridor Transportation Master Plan (DVCTMP) assessed opportunities to improve transportation operations and person-carrying capacity with in the Don Valley Corridor. The study has looked at existing transportation conditions, problems and trends, and identified possible alternative solutions. City Council adopted the DVCTMP on May 18, 2005.
St. Clair Avenue West Transit Improvements Class EA
The TTC and City of Toronto have completed the St. Clair Avenue West Transit Improvements Class EA. The study identified and evaluated options for improved streetcar operations on St. Clair Avenue West between Gunns Road (just west of Keele Street) to just east of Yonge Street.
Toronto Waterfront Scan and Environmental Improvement Strategy
The Toronto Waterfront Scan and Environmental Improvement Strategy Study has been completed to assist the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto in their joint efforts to achieve the revitalization of the Toronto Waterfront.
Union Station - Pedestrian Planning and Modeling
Transportation Planning initiated a pedestrian movement study to assist in the ongoing revitalization work at Union Station. ArupNAPA was commissioned to undertake the study.
