"Etobicoke Discover Boating Day"

| WHEREAS: |
the Etobicoke Yacht Club, the Mimico Cruising Club and the Humber College Cruising Centre are holding their annual "Etobicoke Discover Boating Day" on Sunday, August 17, 2003; and |
| WHEREAS: |
this much-anticipated and fun-filled day, hosted by the Etobicoke Yacht Club, is a wonderful opportunity for mentally and physically challenged children, adults and senior guests to enjoy a great day of boating on Lake Ontario, together with other activities including a barbecue and music. |
| THEREFORE: |
I, Mayor Mel Lastman, on behalf of Toronto City Council and the 2.5 million people of our great City, do hereby proclaim August 17, 2003 as "Etobicoke Discover Boating Day" to recognize and thank the members of the Clubs and their families for the important role they play in making this very exciting and worthwhile event happen, and for helping to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. |
