Proclamation
"Applegrove Day"

June 5, 2004

WHEREAS: the Applegrove Community Complex is celebrating twenty-five years of providing social and informative services to individuals and families; and
WHEREAS: Applegrove strengthens and nurtures the neighbourhood and plays an important part in the lives of people of all ages, from different backgrounds and walks of life; and
WHEREAS: this special anniversary is a time to recognize the tremendous contribution Applegrove makes to the community, and show appreciation to the dedicated staff and volunteers whose hard work and generous gift of time have helped residents enjoy an enriched quality of life; and
WHEREAS: the celebration of this milestone occasion is a time for everyone involved with Applegrove to reflect on past accomplishments, recognize the achievements of today, and look forward to the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead.
NOW,
THEREFORE: I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council, do hereby proclaim June 5, 2004 as "Applegrove Day", and wish everyone an enjoyable celebration and continued success.
