"Foot Health Month"

| WHEREAS: |
the Ontario Society of Chiropodists is a non-profit organization that was established 1985 to represent chiropodists across the province; and |
| WHEREAS: |
chiropodists and podiatrists are the only regulated health care providers educated exclusively in the assessment, treatment and prevention of foot disorders; and |
| WHEREAS: |
with informative open houses this annual campaign is dedicated to fostering foot health excellence and is designed to increase public awareness and information that promotes proper foot health in order to prevent costly and complicated problems. |
| NOW, |
| THEREFORE: |
I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council, do hereby proclaim May 2004 as "Foot Health Month" in the City of Toronto and encourage everyone to put their best foot forward by supporting this very important campaign. |
