"Injury Prevention Week"
May 3 - 9, 2004
| WHEREAS: |
this year marks the eighth annual Injury Prevention Week which is organized by The Injury Prevention Coalition an umbrella organization of individuals and groups committed to promoting injury prevention; and |
| WHEREAS: |
on May 5, 2004 children in grades 3 and 4 from schools across the Greater Toronto Area will attend Rail and Road Safety Day at Union Station; and |
| WHEREAS: |
the City of Toronto is committed to injury prevention issues and is aware of the tragedy families endure as a result of deaths and injuries on our roadways and rail lines. |
| NOW, |
| THEREFORE: |
I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council, do hereby proclaim May 3 - 9, 2004 as "Injury Prevention Week" in the City of Toronto. |
