Proclamation
"Oral Health Day"

April 21, 2004

WHEREAS: oral Health is an important part of our overall health and the Toronto Academy of Dentistry together with the Rotary Club of Toronto - Don Mills, are organizing Brush-a-Mania for approximately 50,000 students from 100 schools; and
WHEREAS: all participants will receive instruction in proper oral hygiene, a kit with dental supplies and will be required to brush their teeth for three minutes 100 times over the next six weeks; and
WHEREAS: the Toronto Academy of Dentistry and the Rotary Club of Toronto - Don Mills, have donated thousands of dollars to various charities in our community in the promotion and advancement of optimal oral health.
NOW,
THEREFORE: I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council, do hereby proclaim April 21, 2004 as "Oral Health Day".
