"School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day"
April 22, 2004
| WHEREAS: |
School Crossing Guards must possess a deep sense of responsibility, a lot of common sense, a good rapport with children and the fortitude necessary to brave the elements; and |
| WHEREAS: |
in Toronto we are proud of our School Crossing Guards and highly commend them for their continued dedication and commitment to the safety and well-being of our school children; and |
| WHEREAS: |
we congratulate this year's Long Service Awards recipients and owe a debt of gratitude and appreciation to all School Crossing Guards for their valuable service to the community. |
| THEREFORE: |
I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council do hereby proclaim April 22, 2004 as "School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day" to recognize their significant contribution to the safety of our school children. |
