Proclamation
"Toronto Argonauts Day"
November 23, 2004

WHEREAS: our Toronto Argonauts are the 2004 Grey Cup champions in the Canadian Football League, defeating the B.C. Lions in Ottawa in an emotional and exciting final game.
Football fans in the nine CFL cities and throughout Canada feel passionate about this sport, and the professional players and management of the Argonauts never fail to provide exciting entertainment to their fans.
The Argonauts have brought the coveted Grey Cup back to Toronto for the 15th time, ending a very memorable and triumphant 2004 season.
We are extremely proud of the Argos players, whose spirit, hard work and teamwork continue to boost Toronto's city pride.
NOW,
THEREFORE: I, Mayor David Miller, on behalf of Toronto City Council, do hereby proclaim November 23, 2004 as "Toronto Argonauts Day" and encourage all sports fans to show support for our Toronto Argonauts' successful season and journey to the Grey Cup.
